Apple is extending its make in India strategy with plans to make AirPods in the country.

Apple's supplier Jabil Inc is going to make components for the premium TWS earbuds.

The enclosed AirPods cases will be sent to Vietnam and China for manufacturing.

before Apple moves full production to India.

Apple has been making iPhones in the country since 2017 with the iPhone SE model.

Apple is also looking to make iPads and MacBooks in the country.

The company also has plans to make the audio products like Beats headphones in India.

Apple views India has a major production hub to ease its dependence on China.

Apple is keen on increasing India’s production to 25 per cent in the next few years.
